DOCTOR OF PHARMACY PROGRAM

Pharmacy is a science-based health profession concerned with the science of medicines and their use in the treatment and prevention of disease. It encompasses the aspects related to medicine discovery, development, production, distribution, dispensing, testing, research etc., and while linking the health sciences with the chemical sciences it is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines. Recognized as Custodians of medicines the Pharmacists are specialists in the science and clinical use of medicines. They are highly trained and skilled healthcare professionals who perform various roles to ensure optimal health outcomes for the patients.

About Course

After the end of Pharm-D Program the student will be able to:

 
  • To produce highly skilled and trained Pharmacist by educating and training them on scientific basis to adapt their career as health care professionals & to exhibit professional & ethical responsibility.
  • To enhance the standard of Pharmacy education in the Country.
  • To develop students’ abilities in critical thinking, problem solving & team work.
  • To prepare students to be proficient in applying information technology in their field.
  • To prepare students to communicate effectively both orally and written.
  • To produce doctorate of pharmacy who can participate in research and development in the Field of Pharmaceutical sciences.
  • To develop leader ship qualities & sense of team work.
  • To serve society as caring Professional & enlightened citizen.
  • To train the students in the field of business and marketing of the drug and legal requirement of pharmacy with respect to procurement ,storage and sale of the drugs.
 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate should have at least 60% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-Medical)
  • Applicant must not be over 23 years of age on last date of submission of application.
  • The final merit will be based on marks obtained in Matric (30%) and  F.Sc (70%) weightage.

Admission Procedure

Application form for admission to Pharm-D program would be returned to the admission office of the college after completion form along with the following attested documents in duplicate.

  • Secondary school certificate
  • F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or equivalent certificate
  • CNIC of applicant and father/guardian
  • Affidavit by the parent/guardian giving permission to the candidate for study in college. The surety of good behavior and financial support.
  • Passport size picture (Ten) two attested on front and eight on back.

Note:

  • Dues once paid are not refundable and non-transferable in any case.
  • University registration, Examination fee, Pharmacy Council Registration and/or any other University/Pharmacy council charges will be charged as per University/Pharmacy Council of Pakistan notifications. These charges are not included in fee described above.
